I've been an activist my whole life
It's Monday, the day where I share my intentions for the week going forward.
Last week I didn't post a Thursday update, which is when I tell you how I did on my intentions, because I was on vacation so here's a quick rundown of how I did:
1. Work as little as possible - I worked more than I thought I would, but I also felt way better not stressing out about how much work I was or was not doing.
2. Gratitude - I've been deepening my gratitude practice by writing love letters to the things and people and concepts that I love and it's been really healing for me in this time when I'm seeing so much hate directed at me and the people I regard as my siblings in this world.
3. Movement - I moved when I wanted to move and I didn't move when I didn't want to, and it was exactly what I needed.
This is election week. It's going to be hard. I made a list of things that are true no matter who wins. I'm keeping that close and it's helping. I've been an activist my whole life. My ancestors on all sides have served this country and this land for as long as we've been here. Some of us for as long as we've been people. One despot doesn't change that legacy.
Intentions this week: 1. Avoid social media 2. Be kind to myself so I can be kind to others What are yours?
